Chronic Back Pain Relief at Laser Spine Institute

Chronic Back Pain Relief at Laser Spine Institute

Chronic back pain can take a toll on many aspects of your life. For starters, the physical discomfort can not only be unpleasant, but it can prevent you from doing activities you enjoy as well as activities that keep you healthy. The result can be weight gain, inflexibility, and more, which can lead to disease and injury. Missing out on all those activities can have an emotional impact as well. When you’re forced to sit on the sidelines, you can feel depressed, out of touch and less confident. Chronic back pain can even force you to miss work, further damaging your emotional state and wreaking havoc with your finances.

Fortunately, at Laser Spine Institute (LSI) we have treatments to reduce the symptoms of a wide variety of back pain causes including:

  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Arthritis of the spine
  • Sciatica
  • Bone spurs
  • Pinched nerves
  • Bulging disc
  • Ruptured disc
  • More

All of our treatments are performed using endoscopic techniques, which are much gentler on the body than the traditional methods used in other back surgeries. Instead making a large incision in the back, our surgeons make one small cut—about 1 centimeter long—and use a narrow tube to access the surgery site. This allows our surgeons to avoid the drawbacks of traditional surgeries, like cutting into muscle tissue and using general anesthesia. The result is fewer complications, including the development of excessive scar tissue. Scar tissue, common after traditional back surgery, is a common cause of nerve compression, so avoiding it means reduced risk for future chronic back pain.

If you’d like more information regarding our treatments, contact LSI today. We’ll review your MRI or CT scan for free to determine if you are a good candidate for chronic back pain treatment at LSI.
